The 2014 Dinner Gala Honorees
On Thursday, January 16, 2014 The Minty Organization hosted its Inaugural Dinner Gala celebrating Theatre in our High Schools and honoring those who help to make it all possible. Co-sponsoring this event was The Hilton Garden Inn and the Where-to-Turn Organization. The event brought members of the Staten Island Theatre Community together to honor those that have come before, our current students, and the future generation. Speical tribute was made to Carl W. Lesch, the founder of high school musicals on Staten Island, and Lesch's May 1964 production of Oklahoma!, which was the first musical produced in a Staten Island High School.
